“Can a woman’s tender care
Cease towards the child she bare?
Yes, she may forgetful be,
Yet will I remember thee.”
(A & M Hymn 260, 3RD Stanza)
We stand here today with deep sorrows in our hearts to pay tribute to our departed mother. A flower may die, the sun may set, but a mother like you will never and can never be forgotten.
19th February, 2018 will never be forgotten. Even though death is inevitable, we never imagined it will come so soon. Your passing onto Glory still remains like a dream to us. We can’t believe it, it seems like a nightmare to us. But truly in the midst of life we are in death, but we seek succor from the Lord. Deep within our hearts we are heart-broken, but we take consolation from the fact that you need rest and you are safe in the hands of our maker.
We keep asking ourselves so many questions regarding your death, but each time we did, the conclusion we come to, was that, the Good God, has called you to a better place. A Holy place not made by hands to meet and sit with the angels.
You were so passionate about how Alfred’s engagement would go and had it all corrected that it would certainly go well. You were not there, but everything went as you planned. Maa, you did not go alone, a part of us all went with you the day God decided to take you home. Our fond memories are Limitless, your qualities as a good mother; endless. You exhibited love everywhere hence loved by people everywhere you went. Maanaa, you had a beautiful soul. We recall some of the powerful prayers you said every morning before you move out of the house.
We recall all those happy moments we spent together as a family. The way you stood up for us like a lioness protecting her cubs, the way you prayed tirelessly and took care of us when any of us were unwell, God should bless you wherever you are.
We can confidently say that your demise has taught us to be strong and has rather brought us closer to God, knowing very much he is the only one true God and the only one who will take care of us.
Maa, you have entered Mount Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem, and the City of the living God. You have entered his gates with singing and everlasting joy crowns your head. Gladness and joy have overtaken you; sorrow and sighing have fled away. Maanaa, you have entered into eternal rest. There, it’s seeing of the face of Jesus whom you’ve loved all your life.
We shall grieve all the days of our life because no one, absolutely no one can replace the exceptional love you’ve shown to us.
Maa, we believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
We know how you fought this fight. You have fought well and it’s time to rest.

Sleep Well, Maa, and Rest in Everlasting Peace till we meet again.
